Membership Director
The First District Membership Director is appointed by the District Commander to handle the membership program of the District in the year of the service for the District Commander. The Membership Director is responsible to the District Commander for the proper conduct of the membership program.
This office does not always create goodwill as it is driving to accomplish the aims and goals of the District, Department and National Organizations in the membership program, and sometimes it requires talking to people who are not, for some reason or another, getting the job done. It is a vital and concerned part of the District program, and all should aid and assist in any way that they can.
Responsibilities
- Have copies of membership report of the District available at the Executive Board meetings. (approx. 25 copies)
- Chairs the District Membership Team, which is made up of them and the District Vice Commanders.
- Establishes the District membership contest within the District and works closely with the District Commander and Adjutant in the membership field of endeavor.
- Set, along with the District Commander, Post membership goals according to Department schedule.
- Can provide an article for the District Newsletter each month no later than the 26th of each calendar month.
