Historian
The Historian maintains the historical records of the District. Records should be stored in file drawers which are provided.
The historian should receive from the District Adjutant copies of the official approved minutes of each Executive meeting and the District Convention and should have copies of the District budgets and expenses for the file.
The Historian should
- Put together various news items, notices, copies of the District bulletins and other items which record the story of the District and its activities for future references and have the materials available that can be used as background knowledge and resource materials to provide future officers of the past activities of the District.
- Retain copies of official papers, such as the Minutes, District Constitution and By-Laws in a file by themselves for easy access. Such files are the only past records of the District.
- Compile a record of the year in a scrapbook form for the District Commander.
- Be well schooled in the past of the District and be able to answer questions about it and to provide materials available upon request of past activities.
