Chaplain
The Chaplain is a function and not an official spiritual position. The person holding this position can be a member of the clergy or a layman who is of a religious inclination and is the spiritual leader of the district.
Responsibilities
- Attend District Meetings.
- Gives Opening, Closing and special prayers.
- Provide an article for the District Newsletter each month no later than the 26th of each calendar month.
The duties are that of keeping the spiritual values in balance in the American Legion and to see that the District Memorial Service is conducted in the proper form.
