Riders Chairman
The American Legion Riders Chairman is responsible for acting as the advisor to the 1st District American Legion Riders. The chairman will assist in the formation of new American Legion Rider Chapters as well as helping the District American Legion Rider Officers implement their programs. The Chairman is also responsible for knowing and educating others on proper meeting protocol, the Riders association with the American Legion, and the rules and guidelines set for them by the American Legion.
The Chairman receives information from the Department Chairman, The Department Fall Conference, and other mailings.
The Chairman disseminates information through the District Bulletin, Facebook Page, Newsletter to all Post Commanders and Adjutants. The Chairman will have information and brochures available at Mid-Winter and District Convention.
The Chairman will
- Should attend all District meetings of the American Legion Riders.
- Act as the liaison between Chapters and the District.
- Will attend and report on Rider activities all District Executive Board Meetings.
- Attend and report to the District Mid-Winter and District Convention.
- Prepare a report for the Commander for distribution at the District Convention.
- Attend the Department Convention and Department Fall Conference to get the most up-to-date information available.
