Law And Order Chairman
The Law-and-Order Chairman is responsible for soliciting applications for the Department Law Officer of the Year award. The Chairman should make the Posts within the district aware of this award and the criteria used in judging.
The Chairman encourages posts within the district to honor their Department of Natural Resource (DNR) officers, and local firemen, emergency medical technicians and police. In addition to being a public relations program, this program can be a great recruiter for new members by making the public aware of what we do.
The Chairman receives information from the Department Chairman, The Department Fall Conference, and other mailings.
The Chairman disseminates information through the District Bulletin, Facebook Page, Newsletter to all Post Commanders and Adjutants. The Chairman will have information and brochures available at Mid-Winter and District Convention.
The Chairman will
- Solicit applications from agencies within the district, identifying outstanding First Responders for Department Law Officer of the Year.
- Submit candidates for district consideration and arrange award(s).
- Forward recognized individuals for consideration to Department.
- Attend and report to the District Mid-Winter and District Convention.
- Prepare a report for the Commander for distribution at the District Convention.
Attend the Department Convention and Department Fall Conference to get the most up-to-date information available.
