Girls Fast Pitch Softball Chairman
The Girls Fast Pitch Softball Chairman serves as a member and participates in meetings of the Department Fast Pitch Softball Committee
The District Chairman will
- Set up and run the District Tournament(s).
- Supervises four (4) Sub-District Chairmen from areas within the 1st District, each selected by the District Chairman.
- Meet with the individual Sub-District Chairmans and their teams each spring, usually in early spring, and establish plans for the forthcoming season.
- Assists Sub-District Chairmen with Post funding and paperwork as needed.
- Set the District Tournament and assign officials as needed.
Each Sub-District Chairman will
- Keeps the District Chairman informed off schedule and tournaments.
- Runs their own sub-district schedules and tournaments.
- Encourages funding from all local posts of all Legion teams.
- Assists sponsoring posts with paperwork as needed.
The Chairman will also
- Disseminate information at the Mid-Winter District Conference and through the District Bulletin and Facebook Page to disseminate information regarding the Fast Pitch Softball program.
- Report to the 1st District Mid-Winter and 1st District Convention.
- Prepare an annual report to the Commander for distribution at the 1st District Convention.
