Boys State Chairman

The Boys State Chairman is responsible for soliciting information regarding this program at the Department Fall Conference and Department Convention.

The Chairman receives information from the Department Chairman, The Department Fall Conference, and other mailings.

The Department Fall Conference, and other mailings, and disseminates that information through the 1^st District Bulletin, Facebook Page, Newsletter, and to all Post Commanders and Adjutants.

The Chairman will

• Write articles for the District Newsletter concerning upcoming events.
• Write article for the District Newsletter summarizing the outcome.
• Give presentation at Mid-Winter Conference about upcoming events.
• Actively encourage each post to put forward candidates.
• Contract bus transportation for Boys State Citizens to Boys State location.
• Establish pickup schedules for all citizens and publish it in district newsletter and notify citizens.
• Attend and report to the 1^st District Mid-Winter and 1^st District Convention.
• Prepare a report for the Commander for distribution at the 1^st District Convention.
• Attend the Department Convention and Department Fall Conference to get the most up-to-date information available.
